Project narrative

On September 15, 2019, a launching ceremony was held for the Cataract Rejuvenation Project in Sudan, where a new ophthalmology clinic within the Omdurman Friendship Hospital was unveiled. The project will see the Chinese medical team in Sudan helping provide cataract surgery for patients. The team provided free surgeries to at least 159 patients across 3 clinics at the Omdurman, Abu Ushar, and Damazin Friendship Hospitals and helped them regain eyesight. The project is implemented by the 34th Chinese medical team (captured in Record ID#86799).
