Project narrative

On August 24th, 2018, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) awarded 10 Chadian high-schoolers a scholarship to study petroleum engineering in China. This is a part of an initiative to send 10 students to study for 5 years in China from 2018-2023. The award ceremony was attended by Ambassador Li Jinjin, Minister of Petroleum and Energy of Chad, Bukar Michel, and Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation David Udeingar Ngarimadan attended the ceremony. It appears that these students will study at Northeast Petroleum University (Université du Pétrole du Daqing) in China. The Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation Dr. David Houdeingar and his counterpart of oil Boukar Michel presided over the five-year scholarship ceremony for the top ten winners of the 2017 bachelor's scientific series at the Soluxe Hotel.
