Project narrative

On May 17th, 2019, a handover ceremony was held to celebrate China's assistance to the WFP in support of the School Feeding Project in Lesotho. The Chinese government provided 1 million USD to the WFP to assist the project, helping feed more than 60,000 pre-school children. The contribution made is equivalent to 665 metric tons of Super Cereal Plus, which will be crucial in alleviating Lesotho's food shortage.
