On February 28, 2018, Tang Weibin, the ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, attended the annual meeting of the Côte d’Ivoire National Organization of Professional Journalists and delivered a keynote speech on “China-Cote d’Ivoire Relations and News Media”. At the ceremony, Ambassador Tang donated office supplies, such as TV sets, to the organization. Representative of the Minister of Information Baraya, Marcory Mayor Abi, President of the National Association of Professional Journalists Yihuo, and about 70 local media professionals attended the event. The monetary value of the donation is unknown.
