Project narrative

On March 15, 2018, Tang Weibin, the ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Côte d’Ivoire, Marcel Amon-Tano, signed two intergovernmental assistance agreements between China and Côte d’Ivoire. One of these agreements was an Exchange of Notes regarding the provision of 2.1 million RMB worth of material assistance by the Chinese government to the National Anti-malarial Research Center of Côte d’Ivoire. According to the exchange, the Chinese government will provide a batch of office and laboratory equipment to the Anti-malarial Center of Cote d’Ivoire, and actively discuss with the department to assist in the construction of a general hospital to effectively improve the medical and health conditions of the department. The other agreement signed at this ceremony, an agricultural ETCA, is coded in Record ID#87822. These agreements are the result of "One of the results of the implementation of the Ten Major Plans for China-Africa Cooperation”.
