In 2019, the Chinese Government Scholarship was awarded to 30 students from Cabo Verde. The send-off ceremony was held on August 19, 2019, and was attended by the Chinese Ambassador to Cabo Verde, the Cabo Verde Minister of Education, and the Cabo Verde Secretary of State for Education.
