Description

From December 5 to 16, 2018, entrusted by the National Health Commission, a group of 5 Chinese experts from Heilongjiang Eye Hospital, led by the hospital President Liu Hongshi, carried out the fourth "Bright Actions" in Mauritania's "counterpart hospital"(第四次“光明行”) for free ophthalmology clinic tasks. Based on the aid of the Mauritania Medical Team and the China-aided Mauritania Eye Center, the expert team provided free cataract surgery for more than 130 Mauritania patients, donated medical equipment and medicines, and carried out business training for Mauritania medical staff. This is also the last project in a series of celebrations for the 50th anniversary of China's aid to Mauritian health cooperation held by the Chinese Embassy in Mauritania this year, and it has achieved complete success under the close cooperation between China and Mauritania. The 33rd medical team sent by China (Project ID#57187) also participated in this mission.
