Description
On August 23, 2018, the Minister in charge of Special Economic Zones (SEZ) in Congo had an exchange with a group of Congolese executives trained in China as part of the Pointe-Noire SEZ project. The Congolese government plans to install four SEZs on the national territory including one in Pointe-Noire, the three others in Brazzaville, Oyo-Ollombo, and Ouésso. As a part of its development of four SEZs in Congo, China conducted training for a total of four groups of Congolese executives on the operations of Special Economic Zones, the most recent of which took place in 2018. The training took place in China. The executives trained belong to the public administrations (customs, tax, trade, industry, etc.). The financial value of the training is unknown.
