Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On October 25, 2018, Ambassador Tan Jian and Ethiopian First Lady Zinash Tayachew attended the donation ceremony of school meal supplies ("学校供餐项目") from the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia to the office of the Ethiopian First Lady. The donation items are mainly aimed towards provide free lunch for poor orphans and disabled children in some schools in the capital Addis Ababa. Previously the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia was a partner to the office of the Ethiopian First Lady's school feeding project, alongside Chinese NGO - China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA). While the program was initially an initiative of Ethiopia’s former first lady Roman Tesfaye, First Lady Zinash Tayachew has continued the partnership which is what this donation was attributed towards.
