Description

On June 24, 2019, Ivorian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amon Tanoh, and his Chinese counterpart, Yang Jiechi, signed a debt cancellation agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, the Chinese Government cancelled loan repayment obligations of the Government of Côte d'Ivoire worth CFA 20 billion ($34.6 million).
