Project narrative

On June 25, 2019, Consul General Xie Xiaowu and Minister of Land, Housing, Water Conservancy and Energy Talib attended the opening ceremony of the “2019 Zanzibar Clean Water and Waste Treatment Overseas Training Course” and delivered speeches. The training was sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by the China Power Construction Group. The training course was held from June 25 to July 24, 2019, with a total of 30 trainees. During the course, trainees learned about safe water and garbage disposal, and measures and methods to improve Zanzibar’s clean water and garbage disposal capacity.
