Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

In early July 2019, the Chinese Government dispatched the 21st medical team to Zambia. The team consisted of 13 Chinese doctors who were put to work soon after they arrived at the China-Zambia Friendship Hospital in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. The team also helped train 10 doctors from the hospital. The 23rd Chinese medical team started a one-year tour of duty in Zambia after it was inducted on April 12, 2022, so it is assumed that the 21st medical team has since departed.
