Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

In 2018, as part of their efforts to improve the local community around the Mulilo De Aar Wind Power Project, Longyuan South Africa provided an annual donation of ZAR 2 million to fund the founding of 4 early education centres for children in South Africa. The donation will be used for faculty salaries, housing for children, living and food expenses, and other management expenses. These educational centers will especially focus on helping those who were poor or with psychological and physical disabilities, benefitting 320 local children and employing 38 residents. The project appears to have been completed. This investment is part of Longyuan South Africa's goal to contribute ZAR 15 million each year to the community to promote the development of the local economy. Other projects that Longyuan has undertaken include those related to culture, education, medical and health care, skills training, and other public welfare undertakings in the community.
