Project narrative
On August 22, 2019, a reception was held to celebrate the numerous scholarship opportunities given out by the Chinese government to candidates from Equatorial Guinea. Ambassador Qi Mei, General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea and National Coordinator of Government Scholarships Osa, and the around 40 scholarship winners participated at the reception. The ceremony also included training for the awardees. The students arrived in Beijing in early September and studied in various cities across China. The Equatorial Guinea National Scholarship Coordination Office and the Equatorial Guinea Democratic Party helped China to organize the scholarship.
