On August 27, 2019 during the farewell ceremony for 182 recipients of the Chinese Government Scholarship (project #69850), Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Wu Peng provided 50 needy Kenyan students from four universities with checks to study in local Kenyan universities under the Ambassador scholarship program.
