Project narrative

On October 21, 2019, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and Myanmar's Ministry of Agricultural, Animal Husbandry, and Irrigation launched a training seminar on the cultivation of hybrid rice in Myanmar. The opening ceremony was held at the Agricultural Research Institute in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. The training will focus on the introduction of comprehensive hybrid rice technology, including hybrid rice genetics and breeding technology, hybrid rice seed production technology and hybrid rice high-yield cultivation technology, as well as training activities on other topics such as China's national conditions, achievements in reform and opening up, and Chinese culture. The training lasted 45 days and 60 officials, technicians and major planters from the agricultural field in Myanmar participated. Yuan Long Ping High-Tech Agriculture Co., Ltd. provided experts in the seminar. On December 4, 2019, Business Consular Tan Shufu (谭书富) of the Chinese Embassy and other officials in Myanmar attended the closing ceremony.
