Project narrative

On December 15, 2017, the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia and representatives from the Mudhita Foundation of the Cambodian Royal Family inaugurated the new facilities at the Samdach Aop Samdach Mae Onlong Thom Primary School and High School in Phnom Kueln commune in Siem Reap province. The school is funded by a Chinese grant through the Mudhita Foundation. The project consisted of constructing a new, 4-classroom block, which substantially improved its teaching facilities and made it possible for more school age children to receive an education.

Staff comments

The official name of the school in Khmer is "សាលាបឋមសិក្សា និង អនុវិទ្យាល័យ សម្ដេចឪ សម្ដេចម៉ែ អន្លង់ធំ"; the Chinese name for the school is "荔枝山小学". The monetary value of the project is unknown.
