Description

In 2019, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) sponsored the 2019 Seminar on the Development of China's Foreign Aid System for Seychelles. The training course was the first short-term training course exclusively for Seychellois trainees in some time. The course was intended to instruct Seychellois officials in China's foreign aid system and policies to improve the implementation of foreign aid projects and maximize the benefits of aid. The trainees included officials from Seychelles' Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, and other government agencies. A total of 17 Seychellois officials were part of the training, which was planned to be held in China from September 5 to September 25, 2019. The training was implemented by the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO). During the training, the trainees visited the Gansu Institute of Natural Energy on September 17, 2019, where they learned about the institute, its foreign aid training, and its solar power technology. The training was successfully completed.
