Project narrative

On July 31, 2019, the Chinese Ambassador to El Salvador attended a ceremony for the donation of musical instruments to Ilopango, El Salvador to create the city's first municipal peace band. According to a press release from the Ilopango Mayor's Office, the instruments were worth USD 18,978.65 and included 18 trumpets, 7 alto trombones, 6 Bb marching tubas, 4 sets of 5 bass drums with charger, 6 multitenor percussion, 5 French horns with 5 marching French horns, and 5 snare drums. This project is part of the embassy's "Chinese Culture Tour" throughout El Salvador.
