Project narrative

On November 9th, 2012, China Harbor Engineering Company (CHEC) donated J$13 million to the Jamaican Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) to be used for disaster relief. The money was to assist people and schools that suffered damages from Hurricane Sandy, and went to ODPEM’s Hurricane Sandy Emergency Relief Fund. The donation was presented by CHEC Caribbean region general manager, Zhongdong Tang to the director-general of ODPEM, Ronald Jackson.
