Project narrative

On December 18, 2019, the Chinese Embassy announced that it would provide 35 unilaterally funded and 15 bilaterally funded scholarships to students from Argentina to study in China during the academic year 2020-2021, following a memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries. The scholarship program is carried out by the China Scholarship Council, an organization under the Chinese Ministry of Education. The list of recipients was released on February 18, 2020. Of the 35 scholarship recipients, one was pursuing a doctorate degree, 10 were pursuing master's degrees, one, an unspecified degree, and the remaining 22 were pursuing Chinese language programs. The remaining 15 scholarships are bilaterally supported by China and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology of Argentina.
