On November 11, 2017, in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, China Harbour Engineering Company Limited (CHECL) donated USD 20,000 (approximately GYD 4 million) to support the Civil Defence Commission’s (CDC) Guyana Hurricane Relief initiative.
