Project narrative

In October 2011, during a visit between Seychelles President James Michel and Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping, the Chinese Government pledged to provide an RMB 40 million grant (see Record ID#1161) and donate 10 Yutong buses to the Government of Seychelles. The value of the buses is unknown. The 30-seat Yutong buses were officially handed over to the Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC) on May 2, 2012. In 2010, the Chinese Government provided a separate donation of 10 Yutong buses (see Record ID#55690).
