Staff comments

AidData is unable to determine the specific contents (i.e. transportation, names of universities, etc.) or financial amount of the scholarship. Based on the source, it is unclear if the scholarships are intended for study in China itself; therefore, AidData has coded this project as a grant instead of a scholarship for study in the donor country. Given that the location of the scholarships are unclear and the Consulate's description of seeking to encourage Chinese education, AidData has labeled this project as having representational intent.
