Project narrative

On September 22, 2019, the city of Hangzhou, China donated 12 buses valued at $650,000 to the mayor's office in San Salvador, El Salvador. The mayor of San Salvador, Ernesto Muyshondt, signed the agreement with the deputy governor of Zhejiang Province and with the deputy mayor of Hangzhou, its capital city. The buses will benefit the "Communities in Motion" program which aids the transportation system in the six districts that comprise the capital city. The bus system will run at no cost, and is expected to help transport a total of 14,000 individuals.
