Project narrative

According to a report from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on February 15, 2019, the Chinese Embassy in Uruguay donated cultural supplies to the a Wu Kendo Hall in Montevideo, Uruguay. This Kendo association (established in 2004) provides courses in in martial arts, Tai Chi, Qigong and traditional Chinese medicine all year round to 80 students. The gifts included Tai Chi fans, training clothes, knives and swords. The donation aimed to promote Chinese culture in Uruguay, as the museum has committed to do for 15 years.
