Project narrative

Between August 3 and August 16, 2019, five schoolchildren from the Escuela “República Popular China” de Casavalle ("People's Republic of China" School in Casaville, Uruguay) participated in a sponsored trip to Beijing, China. The Qingdao Municipal Government sponsored the trip as part of the educational-cultural exchange agreement with China. The trip lasted 14 days with a full schedule of activities for the children. The children were accompanied by two teachers. The Ministry of Education and Culture from Uruguay provided the air tickets, the National Public Education Administration of Uruguay payed for travel expenses and medical insurance, and the Qingdao Municipal Government and Emba Consultoría SL handled accommodation and tours. According to the source from the Ministry of Education and Culture in Uruguay, the project is a result of an agreement signed by the Minister of Education and Culture, María Julia Muñoz, at the beginning of April 2019.
