According to the Municipal Mayor Office's of Chalchuapa's Facebook page, on November 4, 2019, the Chinese Embassy in El Salvador donated 4,422.84 USD worth of instruments and sound equipment to the Municipal Philharmonic and Municipal Band in Chalchuapa.
