Project narrative

On August 9, 2019, a ceremony was held at the Avary Hotel in Karachi to commemorate the Chinese Consulate's donation of 3 cargo scanner sets to Jinnah International Airport. The Chinese Consul General in Karachi, Wang Yu, and the Head of Customs Affairs of the Pakistan Federal Taxation Commission, Jawwad Uwais Agha, attended the ceremony. The scanners were provided to assist the customs department at Jinnah International Airport. According to the media, the scanners will be used for screening cargo at the Air Freight Unit, the Immediate Clearing Group, the Airport Ramp Area, and the Express Mail Unit at the airport.
