Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On June 18, 2019, Ambassador Zhu Qingqiao attended the inauguration of the Chinese Book Center in the Library of Mexico and presented the donation of 1000 books about Chinese history, culture, literature, and teaching for the center. The center is intended to promote cultural exchange and is the tenth such center globally as well as the first in North America. This donation was made by China International Publishing Group (CIPG) and consisted of an initial delivery of 1000 copies, but they expect to add 200 volumes each year. The texts consist of topics such as history, tourism, politics, art, literature, and children's texts in Spanish as well as bilingual and trilingual editions (mixing English and Mandarin).
