During Ramadan 2019, which lasted from May 5 to June 3, the Chinese embassy in Iraq provided Iftar meals in Baghdad. Over the last year, the embassy spent USD 10000 to provide a daily meal to break the fast for hundreds of Iraqis. The meals were distributed out of the Abu Hanifa mosque in northern Baghdad.
