On May 18, 2021, the Chinese Government provided 17 hospital beds to the Fiji Ministry of Health and Medical Services. This donation is valued at USD $12,558.44. The Health Ministry stated that they will use the beds to equip the Nakasi Health Centre, a medical facility that has been converted into Fiji’s sixth isolation ward in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
