Project narrative

On October 9, 2019, the Chinese Embassy in Costa Rica donated 173 books to the National Library of Costa Rica in honor of the opening ceremony of the "International Tour Exhibition of Pictures Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China". The books are in Spanish, described as high quality, and cover topics such as literature, art, technology, commerce, and Mandarin Chinese instruction. They will be used to establish a Chinese "book corner" within the library to help enhance the knowledge and acquaintance of the two peoples.
