Project narrative

In 2015, China committed to donating a Relocatable Military Hospital (HMR) to the Argentine Army, which was formally donated and received in 2017. The HMR allows for providing surgical and emergency healthcare support for a 48 hour uninterrupted period, performing 2 surgeries simultaneously, hospitalizing 28 patients, and can be easily transported by land, air, and sea in 13x20 foot containers. It serves as an intermediary between outposts of soldiers and permanent military hospitals, intended to diagnose and care for patients during operational deployments.

Staff comments

1. The name of the hospital in Spanish is the "Hospital Militar Reubicable (HMR)."
