Full Description

Project narrative

On May 5 2020, a handover ceremony was held for the donation of medical supplies and 100,000 USD from the Chinese Government to Vanuatu. They were handed over by Chinese Ambassador to Vanuatu Zhou Haicheng to Prime Minister of Vanuatu Bob Loughman. The donation goes towards the fight against COVID-19 and was accompanied by a donation of medical masks, protective clothing, goggles, forehead thermometers, and ventilators (see Record ID#93604). This donation comes after Vanuatu has struggled with COVID-19 infections along with the aftermath of Hurricane Harold.
