Project narrative

On April 26th, 2018, the Consulate General in Istanbul for the People's Republic of China held an opening ceremony for the "Chinese Language Training for Turkish Police" course. According to the same source, the program was jointly designed between the Istanbul Police Department and the Consulate General. The funding provided for the program is unclear. Confucius Institute at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul sent teachers to tutor the 8 police officers from Istanbul Police Department Atatürk Airport Branch Office. It is reported that this training would last for three months. However, on May 29, 2018, the triaining concluded, and the officers acquired certificates.
