Project narrative

On April 1, 2020, Guangdong Province of the People’s Republic of China has expressed their commitment to provide support to the Government and people of Solomon Islands. It committed to donate 20, 000 medical facial masks, 2, 000 surgical masks and 500 medical protective clothing. On April 23, 2020, the donation was handed over to the central authorities in Honiara. 5000 masks out of the 20,000 were donated to Guangdong's sister province, Guadalcanal Province on April 28.
