On February 21, 2019, the Turkish Ministry of National Education announced that applications would be opening for 10 Chinese government scholarships for Turkish students to open in China, according to the Ministry's website. The financial value of the scholarships is unclear, as is the final implementation timeline. Applications closed on March 17th with interviews on March 19th.. According to the Ministry, 8 undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, academician scholarships, as well as 2 Asian scholarships will be awarded. However, there is no indication that the scholarships are awarded.
