Project narrative

On July 20th, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Tonga, Cao Xiaolin, presided over a handover of communications equipment to the Tongan Minister for Internal Affairs, Vatau Hui. The donation consisted of 30 laptop computers and laptop bags, 3 computer mice and 2 portable projectors. The equipment was donated by the All-China Women's Federation and is to go to the Tongan Ministry of Internal Affairs, Women’s Affairs and Gender Equality Division. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the computers are to be used for "capacity building through trainings for the purpose of improving local women’s working skills". The donation came after the Ministry of Internal Affairs applied for a grant.
