Project narrative

On November 30, 2020, 4 sets of "automatic nucleic acid testing instruments and reagents" donated by the Chinese Government arrived in Mongolia, according to the Belt and Road Portal. This aid project is part of China's Covid-19 relief program toward Mongolia, and the tools are to be used to discover the origins of the strain of COVID-19 circulating in Mongolia at that time. The handover ceremony took place on December 10, 2020. The monetary value of the donation is unknown.
