Project narrative
The Confucius Classroom at Anchorsholme Academy was established on May 25, 2015. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Anchorsholme Academy with a grant to enable it to have weekly lessons in Chinese language and culture for pupils aged 4-11. Anchorsholme Academy also have outreach programs with other schools in Blackpool that allows Chinese to be taught on an even greater scale. The Confucius Classroom was running before it was officially opened. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44308.
