Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at St. John's Walham Green CE Primary School began operations on March 7, 2012; its official establishment was held in February 2012. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing St. John's Walham Green CE Primary School with a grant. Through the partnership with South Bank University, St. John's Walham Green CE Primary School has a full-time Mandarin teacher supporting learning throughout the school and delivering Mandarin lessons to Year 2, 3 and 4. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44307.
