The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Katharine Lady Berkeley's School with a grant. This Confucius Classroom is one of the first five Confucius Classrooms to be established in the United Kingdom. The other four pioneer Confucius Classrooms are at Calday Grange Grammar School, Djanogly City Academy, Hummersknott School & Language College, and Kingsford Community School. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44315.
