Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at Birkdale School was established in July 2013. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Birkdale School with a grant. The Confucius Classroom was running before it was officially opened, having begun operations on October 26, 2012. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44304.
