Project narrative

On October 15, 2020, the Chinese Embassy in Timor-Leste donated 40,000 masks and 10,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to the Timor-Leste Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The materials will be used to help young students in East Timor prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony took place for this donation at the Chinese Embassy in Timor-Leste. Ambassador Xiao Jianguo of China and Sports Minister Ma Ya of Timor-Leste attended the ceremony.
