Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at Llandovery College was established on March 1, 2011. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Llandovery College with a grant. It was the 13th Confucius Classroom to be established in the United Kingdom and the first Confucius Classroom to be established in Wales. The Confucius Classroom was running before it was officially opened, having begun operations September 19, 2009. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44301.
