Description

On April 6, 2020, the Municipality of Zhongshan donated 200,000 masks and 100 thermometers to the Peruvian Ministry of Health. The donation has the support of the Peruvian Embassy in Beijing, the Guangzhou Consulate, and the Peruvian Agency for International Cooperation (APCI). On April 7, the Peruvian government reported this donation. Earlier on April 2, 2020, it was reported that the Chinese Ambassador Liang Yu confirmed this donation along with a few others. In this confirmation, however, it was reported that the donation would contain 100,000 masks, 100 pistol thermometers, and 2 thermal solutions for fever detection. It is unclear why the figure was doubled for the masks, and if the thermal solutions for fever detection were sent as well.
