The Confucius Classroom at South Lanarkshire Council was established on December 3, 2012. It is hosted at Hamilton Grammar School in South Lanarkshire. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Hamilton Grammar School with a grant. The Confucius Classroom’s partner school is Tianjin No. 3 High School. The Confucius Classroom was running before it was officially opened. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44297.
