Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

During the November 17-18 Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit, the Chinese government pledged two anti-riot vehicles worth PGK 3 million each to Port Moresby Police. The vehicles are equipped with anti-riot measures including water and teargas that can be shot up to 70 meters. The vehicles were kept in storage until January 7, 2020, when it was announced that they were being put into use. It is unclear when they were delivered to Papua New Guinea.
