Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at Highland Council was established in 2015. It is hosted at Grantown Grammar School in Highland. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Grantown Grammar School with a grant. The Confucius Classroom’s partner school is Tianjin Wuqing Yangcun No.1 High School. The Confucius Classroom was running before it was officially opened, having begun operations on November 14, 2014. The Confucius Classroom at Highland Council originally started at Kingussie High School (金尤西高中) but it moved to Grantown Grammar School in 2018/19. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44297.
